a. General

The Li-ion battery used in the VIDA V1 vehicle features high energy density and offers higher than Auxiliary Battery Voltage. It is compact, lightweight, and virtually maintenance free. This Battery is also called Traction Battery.

Li-ion batteries can repeatedly be shallow/partially charged. This means that performance of Traction Battery is good when charged without fully being discharged.

We recommend 5 Day Hibernation for Lithium-Ion Batteries for optimum performance. Post that recharge your Li-Ion Battery.

Note: -

• It is not necessary to completely wait for Traction Battery drain before charging once again.

• After putting any or both Traction batteries in the two slots, please make sure to sqeeze a bit with thumb and two fingers softly.

• Post putting one or both Traction batteries in the two slots, close the lid  and sqeeze with one hand before locking with manual locking key.

• The electric output capacity decreases over time and use, but the rate at which it depletes depends on several surrounding conditions.

• The battery discharge may vary depending on the ambient temperature.

• At low temperatures, the travelling distance on a single charge is reduced compared to normal temperatures. Charging also takes longer. At low temperatures, the electric output capacity decreases, compared with normal temperatures, and travelling distance on a single charge is reduced, but this is normal.

Note: -

 • Storing the vehicle in an extremely hot or cold place could decrease the electric output and energy storage capacity of the battery.

 • Even if the battery is not used, the battery will discharge gradually.

CAUTION: -

Please keep your vehicle SOC > 80% when you intend to keep stored for long periods of time without using, but we recommend you to keep on checking the SOC levels on a weekly basis and not leave the vehcilce unmonitored for more than 100 days at a continuous stretch.

Failure to comply with above instructions will likely cause permanent damage the battery and void the warranty

Caution:

• Lithium is highly reactive chemical. Any exposure to it may cause fatal injury. Hence it is not recommended to tamper/open/touch broken traction battery insides.

• The thermal indicidence occurance is not normal and should not happen in any normal circumstances. When and if it happens, one should follow the protocol listed in this manual.

• Heavily discharged traction battery:

     - consequence is deep discharge/breakdown. This may require intervention from Authorized Workshop.

     - Don't try to Jump Start Traction Battery. Auxiliary Battery jump start on the contrary is normal, if done by an expert.

• Heated Traction Battery: Nothing to worry if the symbol is flashing on the cluster. The vehicle takes care of it on its own.

• Precaution to be taken in handling the vehicle in case of accidents, especially in light of the fact that your vehicle has Lithium-Ion Battery: Take to Authorized Workshop at earliest possible instance and get it thoroughly inspected.

• Warning displayed on the Traction batteries. Please follow it diligently.

• Do not dispose Li-ion battery like routine scrap. There is severe physical and environmental hazard. Follow the guidance of Authorized Workshop in teh matter.
