b. Non-Use Maintenance for Lithium-Ion Battery

• When the vehicle is not in use (unplugged and power is "OFF"), the electronics consume negligible amount of power. The traction battery drains extremely slowly. But, if you do not ride for few days or so, please check the SOC before starting the vehicle and please ensure that the SOC levels are enough to complete your intended journey

• Charge the battery if the battery state of charge (SOC) is below 20%. In order to maintain the good battery life, it is recommended to charge the battery until 80% SOC.

• Make sure that the amount of SOC in the traction battery does not fall below 20%. If stored under this condition for a long period of time, the battery can be damaged and may need to be replaced depending on how low the capacity is.

• Traction Battery and charger should be kept in a clean, dry, and ventilated place. Keep them away from corrosive materials, power source and heat source.

• When storing the battery charger, disconnect it from the traction battery.

• Do not keep your vehicle parked in a hot area, it may affect the life of the battery adversely.

• Once the battery is completely depleted, it cannot be recharged.

• After long-term storage, be sure to recharge the battery before using the vehicle. (It may take longer than usual to charge this one time; it is normal)
