n. Side Stand information on TFT (TouchScreen)

For the safety of the user, a side stand indicator (1) is provided. If the side stand is down and vehicle in “ON” condition, the "Side Stand Indicator"will be displayed on the TFT and "Switch Off" the motor.

SIDE STAND SWITCH/SIDE STAND

 

 A side stand switch (2) is provided in the side stand, when the side stand is down (vehicle in power “ON” condition), the "Side Stand Indicator" will glow on the TFT. It will "Switch Off the Motor" if motor was previously engaged. In order to "Switch On"the motor, first retract the side stand and the "Side Stand Indicator" on the TFT will disappear, post that follow the instruction for "Switching On" the Motor.

 • Check the side stand for proper function and the spring (3) for any possible visible damage or loss of tension. You can also check the side stand assembly for free unhindered movement.

 • Check whether the side stand indicator (1) glows when the side stand is down (engaged).

 • When the side stand is up (disengaged), the side stand indicator (1) should not glow. 

 • If the side stand indicator (1) does not operate as described in above steps, please visit your VIDA Authorized Workshop.

! CAUTION: -

 

Ensure adequate caution while cleaning the side stand switch. It is electronic device and requires reasonably careful handling.

Your vehicle is equipped with “Side stand motor kill” feature for safety purpose. This feature has following functions:

• It prevents motor “ON” condition of the vehicle when side stand is down (engaged).

• It cuts-off the power being given to the motor if the vehicle is moving when side stand is engaged.

To inspect the functionality of this feature, park the vehicle on its main stand and check all the conditions described in the inspection flow diagram:

 

 

 ! WARNING: -

 

 • If "SIDE STAND SWITCH" is faulty, the "Side Stand Indicator" will be continuously displayed on the TFT and the feature will not work as intended.  Take the vehicle to your nearest VIDA Authorized Workshop for resolving the issue

 • If during usual inspection, one finds any malfunction/contradiction in functionality of "Side stand motor kill” feature.

 • In both the cases immediately take your vehicle to your nearest VIDA Authorized Workshop and get the issue resolved
