d. Note about Charging Being Intelligent and Self-Set:

Battery charging without the vehicle:

 • Park the vehicle on the levelled surface. Turn the vehicle to power “OFF” condition.

 • Open the seat (Already covered in this Owner's Manual).

 • Take the charger from the portable charger compartment (Already covered in this Owner's Manual).

 • Open the traction batteries compartment (Already covered in this Owner's Manual).

 • Remove the Traction Battery [One or Both] (1) from the compartment carefully.

 • Plug the charger gently into the charging port (2) of the Traction Battery. Ensure that the charger is fully inserted into the port.

 • Plug the 3 pin AC adapter (3) into the electrical port (4) and turn the switch to “ON”. Ensure that the AC adapter is properly inserted in to the port.

 • We highly recommend that you charge both the batteries outside the vehicle together using the Y-Connector provided with the vehicle as accessories (To be bought on paid basis).

 • Ensure that the batteries and the charger are placed in a ventilated and dry place away from direct sunlight.

 • In case you are only able to charge a single battery at a time, ensure that you interchange the batteries in every charge to ensure uniform aging of both the batteries.

• We strongly advise against repeatedly removing the same battery and charging it alone. This will result in the faster degradation of the said battery. This will adversely impact the vehicle performance over the combined life of the two batteries.

Switch on the power. Red LED (5) on the portable charger at “Power” will turn “ON” which indicates the power supply is stable.

• Charging will start automatically.

! CAUTION: -

Red LED on the portable charger at “Error” will turn “ON” if any problem is there in portable charger or Traction Batteries. Do not charge the vehicle and it is recommended to visit VIDA Authorized Workshop.

Batteries charging status

Charging status of the batteries can be seen in three ways:

• Battery charging status will be represented by 4 Green LEDs (1) on portable charger. Each LED glows continuously after charging the Traction battery beyond 25%. Once one LED glow is fixated, the next LED will start to blink. 4 LEDs stand for 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% respectively.

• All LEDs will continuously glow if the battery/batteries are fully charged.
