f. Portable Charger LED's Information on TFT and MY VIDA Customer Application

On TFT: -

 

• Battery charging status can be seen on the TFT, only if the vehicle is in power “OFF” condition.

• To check the SOC level (2) touch the TFT screen. TFT will display SOC level for 10 seconds.

NOTE : -

 

If the single traction battery is installed, then one of the SOC gauges will display charging status and another gauge displays 0%.

In MY VIDA Customer Application: -

 

• The charging status and the charge on the vehicle can also be checked in the MY VIDA Customer Application (3).

 

NOTE : -

 

• Charge the traction batteries only with the portable charger provided by the VIDA.

• The handle can be locked/unlocked and seat can be unlocked while the vehicle is getting charged.

• Vehicle can only be charged when the power is “OFF”. During charging vehicle cannot be power “ON”. If the power is turned “ON”, the battery charging will get cut-off. To start the charging again, unplug the charger from the charging port and plug-in it again.

• Do not use the charger with a 2 pin AC plug. Earthing should be available both as 3rd Pin in AC Plug and physically connected to Earthing pit of the building/charging premises.

• Connect the portable charger with the vehicle or direct on to the traction battery when it’s electrical port is in “OFF” condition.

• For optimum performance of the portable charger, it is good to start charging when State of Charge (SOC) falls below 10%.

• If portable charger is being kept in open space while charging, do not expose to excessive heat/direct heat exposure/or in closed box.

• Do not keep the portable charger inside the vehicle without being held by the strap.

• Do not open the back cover of the portable charger.

• Use Velcro to arrange the portable charger wire cable inside the vehicle.

• Do not hit the connector of the portable charger.

• Avoid touching the connector pins on portable charger.

• Charging is automatically controlled by the vehicle battery management system (BMS), optimizing and maximizing life of traction battery. Sometimes the cooling fan may start operating automatically based on the temperature control mechanism of the inbuilt battery management system.

NOTE : -

 

• Portable Charger is IP65 certified. Do not dip it in the water.

• If the vehicle does not have a traction battery, do not connect the charger.

• Portable Charger will heat up a little during charging. That's quite normal.

• Do not add wire additionally to the cable; this may effect efficiency of the portable charger.

• Avoid stress/crimp/bend on the wire.

• Do not remove the charger connector while charging. Switch it Off first and then remove it from all slots.

• Do not insert any metal object in the portable charger connector.

 

Warning | Below 0 degree celsius temperature traction batteries can't be charged and it will not be able to provide power to run the vehicle

 

Warning: -

 

To avoid serious injury or death from electric shock or fire (the list is not exhaustive and is reasonable best: focusses hazards originating from cord/plugging): -

• Do not use the charging plug if it has a damaged or loose prong. Visit VIDA Authorized Workshop to get your vehicle checked.

• Do not use an ungrounded extension cord or a multi-electrical port between the charging cord and the electrical port.

• Check the charging plug for any foreign objects such as dust, soil, oil or water before charging. If necessary, wipe the plug clean with a dry cloth.

• Do not use a multi-electrical port between the charging cord and the electrical port.

• Do not use a damaged charging cord.

• Do not use the electrical port along with other electrical equipment which may exceed the electrical port amperage and overheat the outlet.

• Be sure to plug in the charging plug firmly.

 

Warning: -

 

• If the vehicle is damaged due to overturning or accident, do not plug in the charger to the electrical port. Otherwise it could cause an electric shock or short circuit. Have a 

VIDA Authorized Workshop Service executive look at the vehicle. Briefly and thoroughly check the portable charger before charging the traction battery.

• Charging away from rain/water splashing sources prevents Portable charger short circuit/electric shock.

• Be sure to plug in the charger to a grounded electrical port with residual-current device (RCD) protection for charging the traction battery.
