Manish Narayana, a 30-year-old professional from Ramanagra, travels 50 km every day on his VIDA to his office in Bengaluru. He recently came to the VIDA Experience Centre at Lavell Road for a meetup and shared his story of how he completed 30,000 km on his VIDA V2 in just one year. Here’s what he said
“Commuting 100 km to Electronic City and back was grinding. It was not just the traffic that got to me, it was also the petrol bills. I was spending almost ₹5000 each month just on fuel. And when I realised that in a year it's costing me as much as a new scooter, I decided to switch.
Over the past few years, I've been seeing more and more EVs on the road, and switching to an EV was starting to feel like the right thing to do.
I tested a few scooters, including the Ather 450x and the Ola S1 Pro, and they were good. But then I visited the VIDA Experience Centre at Lavelle Road, and that test ride changed the game for me. And Hero’s reputation for building durable and trustworthy vehicles really put my mind at ease.
The range on the VIDA V2 is more than enough for my daily 100 km round trip. And because the battery is removable, I can charge it anywhere, without the hassle of looking for a charging station. Riding long was a real chore with my old motorcycle due to the noise and the vibrations. But with the VIDA V2, it’s very comfortable. The pickup, braking and ride modes offer a very smooth ride even with Bangalore’s stop-go traffic.
And the best part is, my daily commute now costs less than a filter coffee. I spend just about ₹500 a month on charging. Owning the VIDA V2 turned out to be a wiser choice as I am saving a lot of money while also doing my bit for the environment.”

“I Used to Dread the Commute and Now I Actually Look Forward to It”
—Manish Narayana, 30, Bangalore
In a city where traffic is a daily ordeal and fuel prices are always increasing, many Bangaloreans are rethinking the way they commute.
For Manish Narayana, a typical weekday used to start with a 100 km grind, commuting from Yelahanka to Electronic City. “It was not just the traffic that got to me, it was the petrol bills,” he says. “I was spending nearly 4-5k a month just on fuel.
Fed up, Manish started researching EV options. “I test-rode a couple of EVs like the Ather and Ola, but the Vida V2 was the most sturdy among these. Then I dropped by the VIDA Experience Center at Lavelle Road. Honestly, I went in just to browse but only one test ride on the VIDA V2 changed the game.”
What convinced him? “The ride was solid, pickup was smooth even with Bangalore’s stop-go traffic, and most importantly, I could charge the battery at home. No more waiting in fuel queues or calculating mileage per rupee.”
Now, his daily commute costs less than a cup of filter coffee. “Switching to VIDA wasn’t just about going electric. It was about taking back control of my time and money.”
